Finding Our Way

A free-verse poem inspired by the prompt connections.

As the storm ravages its way through the forest,

Breaking branches and blowing buds,

New pathways are opening up,

Connecting towns, homes, families,

That once had a much longer route to take.

Though the skies are still grey, and the thunder is still loud,

New roads have been found to link us to one another,

Helping us reach the end

Together.
